This hotel is definitely a standout option in the area, with exceptional service that truly makes you feel valued and a great dining experience that rivals even the best in New Orleans. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for relaxing or enjoying time with friends. However, parking can be a bit tricky due to its limited capacity, and the motion-sensored thermostat in the rooms might not suit everyone's preference for temperature control.
My stay at the Southern Hotel was absolutely delightful. The ambiance was charming and the renovations beautifully blend historic elements with modern comforts. The dining experience at Oxlot 9 was exceptional, making it a must-visit for food lovers. However, if you're looking for extensive hotel facilities, this may not be ideal as it's smaller than some chain hotels.

However, the parking could be more spacious as it felt a bit limited during our visit, and I could sense a bit of busyness in the staff during peak hours.

I loved the high ceilings in the rooms and the beautiful decor throughout the hotel, creating an inviting atmosphere. However, I did feel that the dining options, while good, could be elevated to reach the standards of some other local eateries. Overall, this hotel combines luxury with a cozy feel in a fantastic location.

I particularly enjoyed the live music and local events that brought a vibrant energy to my stay. However, I did notice that while the hotel exudes elegance, some may find the absence of extensive facilities a slight downside if they’re looking for more typical hotel amenities.
